On the third day of the Chapter on 13 July 2016, the Sister delegates chose a new superior general, Sr. Olga Ewa Podsadnia. She is the 11th superior in the history of the Congregation and will replace the office of Sr. Agnieszka Kijowska, who led the Sacred Heart Sisters (Sercanki) for the last 12 years.

Sister Olga is 53 years old, and comes from the Archdiocese of Czestochowa. She joined the Congregation in 1982 and 8 years later made perpetual profession. In 1993, she graduated with a Masters Degree in Church History at the Pontifical Academy of Theology in Krakow. In the Congregation, she has served in the following responsibilities: catechist, responsible for the dormitory for female students in Krakow, superior of the Sisters in Genzano di Roma in Italy, and in 2004-2010 Vicar General. Sister Olga was postulator of the beatification process of the foundress of our Congregation Klara Szczęsna, beatified in 2015 in Krakow. Since June 1, 2016 she worked in the Polish Section of the Secretariat of State in the Vatican.
